OUR FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Linda Augustsson, born and raised in Sweden, is the Creative Director and passionate soul behind Scarlett Poppies. Her love for design and sewing began at a young age, making a career in fashion seemed destined. Over the past two decades, Linda has lived part-time in India, immersing herself in the textile industry while exploring the world and drawing inspiration from architecture, travel, and diverse cultures.
In 2002, Linda founded one of India’s leading design and buying agencies, forging strong partnerships between global retailers and local suppliers. Through collaborative practices, she has strengthened the industry and supported thousands of livelihoods in the textile sector. Her work has also created opportunities to nurture and celebrate traditional craftsmanship and artisanal techniques in every piece produced.
This experience in designing and sourcing for other brands inspired her to launch her own label, bringing together the best of both worlds in a brand filled with her creative vision.
In 2019, she launched Scarlett Poppies a brand that blends Scandinavian femininity with simplistic silhouettes and traditional Indian embroidery techniques on natural fabrics. Each piece reflects both her heritage and her passion for artisanal craftsmanship, creating garments that are close to her heart for women to feel beautiful while wearing.
For Linda, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing her designs come to life on women all around the world, she believes in the profound impact of empowering women to feel confident and radiant in their own skin.
